Clean fill dump site 

Nelson City Council will continue to offer a free, clean fill disposal service to residents affected by the severe weather event, at a new site located at 23 Market Road, Bishopdale. This is operational from Wednesday 9 November 2022. 

To access the service, you will need to make a booking that allows 48 hours’ notice. Simply call or email our customer service team, and they will put your booking in the system.  

How does it work?  

Call or email our customer service team – 03 546 0200 or customer.service@ncc.govt.nz to make a booking. Make sure to allow 48 hours’ notice. 

When is it open?

The site will be open on Wednesday and Saturday each week.  

Wednesday each week is open for commercial/contractor (up to 8-wheelers without trailers) drop-off only from 8am – 4pm. 

Saturday morning each week is open for resident (small trucks, utes and trailers) drop-off from 8am – 12pm.  

Where is it?  

Fulton Hogan quarry site, 23 Market Road, Bishopdale. Look for the signs to direct users to the site (one at the access gate, and one further up pointing to the stockpile area).
