Strategic Grants 2024 - 2027
Nelson City Council’s Community Investment Fund Strategic Grants focus on improving wellbeing in communities of greatest need. Priorities for this fund are:
- Reducing the impacts of poverty
- Reduce social isolation and bring communities together
- Support people who are living in substandard housing or at risk of homelessness
- Improving access to work and learning opportunities and
- Improving general community wellbeing
Funding is for up to three years, a maximum of $30,000 per year, and can be used for either programme or operational costs (wages, rent etc.).
Applications open 1st May 2024 and close 5th July 2024. Decisions and grant payments will be made in September 2024.
