This page identifies many of the recreation and community facilities and services Nelson City Council provides for the city.
To locate many of these facilities, you can search on the Council's GIS system to map out specific parks and reserves. Simply enter the GIS system, read the introductory information, and then isolate your search for parks and reserves. Do this by selecting "PARK NAME" in the 'Search In' field on the far right of the screen.

Dog exercise areas
You can find out where to walk your dog at Tahunanui and all across the top of the South if your visit Council's new regional GIS website, once you're there, In the Layer List, tick 'Recreation' and "Dog Exercise Area".
