Rubbish
Recycling has resumed as normal under Alert Level 2. The Nelson Waste Recovery Centre (previously the Transfer Station) on Pascoe Street is now open and operating its usual hours. All payments must be contactless, cash will not be accepted. Contact tracing will be required for entry to any part of the site, including the recording of vehicle license plates. Please avoid bringing extra passengers.
The public recycling drop-off is also open again. Physical distancing and masks will be required when unloading.
The reuse shop will be open for customers to item drop off and shopping; and with physical distancing and sanitisation measures.
